5 reasons why you might want to stop working out

Many people start exercising but give up for a number of reasons, such as they look the way they want, they don't have the time, or they don't like the results. None of these are reasons to stop exercising, in fact, in general, there are almost no reasons. Read on to hear some of the most common excuses people don't exercise, and the reasons you shouldn't stop exercising.

The results are not instant

Many people give up shortly after exercising because they see no results. This is a big problem considering that results take time. After 30 minutes of your workout, you won't lose the desired amount of inches or weight you had in mind. Instead, you have to exercise for about half an hour a day, probably a whole month (depending on your age, body, what you eat, your health, etc.) to see some results, not even the desired results. Patience is the key, you have to work hard to lose weight, and that takes time.

It hurts

Exercising is not meant to be easy, in fact it can be very painful. While exercising, feeling pain is almost always a sign that you are doing the exercise right and that you should keep doing it until it becomes easy. However, many people do not understand that and as soon as there is a little bit of discomfort or pain, they stop. This is a major problem as it will only cause more pain or damage later in life. Exercising helps strengthen your muscles and it also helps relieve and prevent many diseases, joint problems, arthritis and other health problems that cause a lot more pain down the road. Keep in mind that there are different types of pain that can arise during exercise, including muscle strains, so make sure you exercise safely and correctly to avoid unnecessary pain.

It's boring

If your workout was once exciting and fun, but now it's repetitive and boring, do something different. It doesn't mean you have to stop, it just means you need to look further and do some new routines or make your workout harder by increasing the intensity. Spice it up, and reap the benefits.

I have the results I want

Many people stop exercising when they get the results they wanted and look like the image they had in their mind. Yes, this is a time when you should feel good, and very accomplished for having achieved your goal. But if you stop, the hard-earned benefits will also disappear. You still have to train and keep training, otherwise the result will disappear and it will be very difficult to get it back.

I'm arriving

Many people train to lose weight, but what they don't realize is that it's very easy to actually gain weight while exercising, but still look the same. Chances are you'll tone up and build muscle as you exercise. As a result, you will gain weight even if you look good. Once you stop, you'll also gain more weight for the simple reason that all those muscles become fat and you don't look as tight and firm anymore. However, any hard earned perks you got the first time around are gone and much harder to get back the second time around.

So don't stop exercising!
