Men can't multitask and we women are confronted with that every day

Men can't multitask, or so it is claimed. They seem to be able to focus their attention on only one thing at a time, otherwise everything will go awry. It has something to do with missing connections between hemispheres of the brain, so they can't do anything about it themselves. Women can do everything at once. We cook a healthy meal with a baby on our arm and the telephone clamped between head and shoulder and wipe a few noses in between. We don't turn our furry hands around for that. But men and multitasking? No, that's an illusion .

Men and multitasking

We women have known for much longer than today that men cannot multitask. Even though research has previously shown that this would not be true, we women stood their ground. It was obvious to us and it still is 😉 .

Fortunately, there is now a new study that shows us that men and multitasking simply do not go together. We have now resigned ourselves to that, haven't we ladies?

Only young women can multitask

I don't want to say too much about the fact that the research mentions that it is only the younger women who are good at multitasking. Except I don't have to read that research for that. I clearly notice a change that has slowly started to set in a few years ago. The multitasking miracle of the past is no more. This would have to do with the amount of estrogen in the woman's body. But anyway, that's not what this story was about.

It is about men and multitasking, or rather men who cannot multitask. And Mariska Mansveld wrote the following about this before:

Those poor men they can't help it. Multitasking is not in their blood, they can really only do one thing at a time. We women don't just have to deal with that, we should also try to understand it, don't we?

I suddenly wonder what it's like to drive a car and pick your nose? And you?
