Watch tip:another press conference tonight

Monday evening at 7 p.m. Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Minister of Health Hugo de Jonge will again hold a press conference. What exactly are they going to announce?

Of course, everything has leaked out about the press conference on Monday evening, March 8. There is little prospect of easing, but there is talk of easing in the longer term.

What has been leaked so far?

This is roughly what we can expect about the things to be announced:

• The curfew is extended.
• The negative travel advice will be extended, but many countries will probably go yellow again in mid-April. At the moment, the whole world is on orange with foreign travel advice, so that only necessary trips are an exception to the rule.
• The cabinet does want to offer the prospect of relaxation. For example, there are talks about resuming swimming lessons for children and expanding outdoor sports for adults.
