Unfortunately we don't have a clear answer for you. How often you should poop is very personal. Nevertheless, there are a number of rules of thumb that can give you a small indication of what is approximately 'normal'. For example, it is common for changes to your regular routines that cause your bowel movements to become somewhat disrupted, but in principle this should never last longer than a week. In fact, most people have regular bowel movements and poop about the same number of times a day around the same time. It is also very normal to experience some changes every now and then.

Anyway, how often is actually healthy? One person poops three times a day, the other three times a week – both are fine! The most important thing is consistency:if you go to the toilet about the same number of times each week, that's most likely what's "healthy" for you. The consistency of your bowel movements itself is also important when it comes to your gut health:as long as you go to the toilet consistently and your bowel movements are soft, brown and not painful, you don't have to worry about anything!
