7 tips to snack less

Eating less sweets is not easy, you mainly need discipline. In addition, these tips can help you.

1. Make sure you don't get hungry

Do not skip meals and eat enough vegetables, fruit and healthy snacks. Avoid getting hungry, because then you will succumb more easily to unhealthy snacks.

2. Plan your meals

Do not only bring a lunch to work, but also take snacks with you to avoid a stop at the candy machine. By making sure you have enough food with you, you are less likely to succumb to all the goodies at the station or the snack bars at the gas station.

3. Fill the (refrigerator) cabinet with healthy snacks

Make sure you have enough healthy products at home. Healthy food can also be very tasty. Experiment with combinations and recipes and discover what you like.

4. Drink enough

Your body easily confuses hunger and thirst. The next time you feel hungry, drink a glass of water first.

5. Distract yourself

Can you only think about that bag of chips in the cupboard, or that packet of cookies, distract yourself! Go do something you can't eat, chew gum or go for a walk outside.

6. Don't deny yourself anything

If you are not allowed to eat something, it spontaneously becomes even more attractive. In addition, it is okay to sin once in a while. If you feel like chips, an apple can't always satisfy that craving. Rather have a handful of chips than keep thinking about chips after that apple.

7. Keep track of what you eat

Write down every piece of chocolate you eat. This can be on a piece of paper or in your smartphone. By providing insight into your eating behavior, it is easier to make adjustments and break habits.
