Life during and after breast cancer

'You look good! Why don't you go on a family weekend, you're better again?" When you've had the treatment, and you no longer knock on the door of the hospital, there are people who don't realize that as an (ex-) patient can still struggle with all the consequences that breast cancer treatment entails.

How do you ensure that you are heard as a patient? During the Breast Cancer Symposium you will receive information about this theme and you can talk about it with others. Attention is paid to fatigue, chemobrains and the consequences of hormone therapy.

Information is also given about your work if you have cancer. What is expected of you during and after the treatment and what can you expect from your employer? Can you work during the treatment or how can you reintegrate as well as possible? You have the chance to ask all your questions about the Gatekeeper Improvement Act and more.

The Breast Cancer Symposium is by patients for patients. Whatever phase of treatment or aftercare you are in, you are very welcome and feel free to bring a guest with you.

Breast cancer symposium – 6 October, from 10 am at Landgoed Zonheuvel in Doorn. For more information, visit Breast Cancer Symposium.nl. For questions you can email to [email protected] .
