This way you will never eat too much again

You know that when you have eaten too much again and you still feel guilty afterwards or even the next day? Anita Mulderij shares two strategies with which you will never eat too much again.

Step 1:Eat foods that make you feel good
It may sound a bit cliche. But what it means is that you look for foods that already make you feel good while eating. And the hours after that. Healthy food that nourishes your body and gives you energy can (and should) just be really tasty. Foods that don't nourish your body are often only tasty for a short period of time. Although it probably won't immediately give you intestinal problems or stomach pain, there are a few questions you can ask yourself to determine whether you feel good with certain foods:

• Does this food support what I want for my body? (If so, go for it!)
• If not, will I feel guilty about it later? (If your answer is no, go for it!)
• If this food doesn't support my body, does it add anything to my experience? (If not? Don't eat!)

Using this strategy, you can't just enjoy food. You also make conscious decisions about what you eat instead of mindlessly eating everything in front of you.

Step 2:Use the rule of the first bite You often consciously take the first bite or sip and enjoy it the most. Just think of the first bite of a cracking fresh sandwich or the first sip of a glass of fresh orange juice. Try to enjoy each bite as much as the first. Stop after each bite and check in with yourself:what am I tasting, how is the texture? Think about it and most of all:Enjoy. If you learn to eat like this, overeating will be a thing of the past once and for all.
