The most common symptoms of menstrual pain are cramps, nausea and pain in the body, for example in the back. The complaints can seriously disrupt your daily life.

Pain is not just physical
For a study, women with menstrual pain were asked to do a number of assignments on the computer. It showed that menstrual pain does not only have a physical effect. It also influences how we think and feel.

Research into the impact
Pain can affect our daily life and performance. The research now focuses on headaches. The goal is to discover as much as possible about pain and its mechanisms, to help people cope with pain attacks.
