Iowa biology teacher John took on the challenge:he ate three meals a day at McDonald's for 90 days. The result was remarkable:he lost 17 kilos.

Balanced diet
John instructed his students to put together a balanced McDonald's menu for him. He had breakfast with oatmeal with skim milk and Egg white delights. In the afternoon he ate lettuce and in the evening he opted for real fast food, such as a Big Mac or cheeseburger with an ice cream for dessert.

Hike
What undoubtedly contributed to the good result is that John walked for 45 minutes every day, while he had never exercised before.

Choices
After 90 days, John had lost nearly 17 pounds and his cholesterol had dropped. With the experiment, John shows that you can eat whatever you want, as long as you stick to the 2000 calories per day. "McDonald's doesn't make us fat, it's our own choices."
