Crazy blog 1:Oatmeal

Géke test for Santé The Best Diet In The World. The first thing she notices? That she 'should' eat oatmeal and she just doesn't like that very much. Is it okay with Geke? Read her blog about the first week.

Geke : Back from vacation, the new book The Best Diet In The World was in the mail. The first shock was that I "have to" eat oatmeal. I don't even have that at home! The very idea makes me nauseous. I'll let it all sink in, because I want to do my best. In the coming weeks I will write about how this diet is going to suit me.

The shopping list
Making a shopping list is important. Then I have everything in the house and the battle can begin. Because lines are still a struggle, right? For me, the first thing to do is to get rid of the wines. That is going to work. I ate neatly what was on the Wednesday of week 1. Or honestly I was late for breakfast (oatmeal + 1 soft-boiled egg). Two things I didn't like. At noon, a slice of wholemeal rye bread topped with hummus and smoked salmon. Really very tasty. As a snack I was allowed oatmeal cookies with dipping sauce in between.

Surprise
The oatmeal cookies are honestly very tasty, with blueberries in them and BROWN BASTER SUGAR. How can it be in a diet. I have to completely rethink. For dinner we had Dijon chicken from the oven with fresh vegetables. Added rice (!) with apple and mint. Also very tasty.

Day to day
The book states that our diet should be based on a high intake of protein and whole grain products (carbohydrate sources with a low glycemic index). Sure, but I'm not going to bother with that. I prepare from day to day what's in the book and then I'll see if it yields results!

Géke's starting weight for the diet was 93 kilograms. Curious how Géke will fare with the Best Diet in the World and how much weight she has lost at the end of phase 1, the first four weeks? Then keep an eye on Sante.nl or view her own waste blog.
