Eat from light to heavy

Eat from light to heavy

Nutritionist and author Kimberly Snyder suggests eating your meals from light to heavy. How about that?

Kimberly's advice is simple:save the toughest for last. In general, this probably goes without saying:there is a good chance that your breakfast is lighter than your lunch and your lunch is lighter than your dinner.

Per meal
But according to Kimberly, the principle also applies within one specific meal. Take breakfast for example:start with something light and end with something heavy. That way, your energy is better distributed throughout the day.

Digestion
When you start with heavy food, your body has more trouble digesting it. As a result, your body needs more energy to get your digestion going. Your body cannot use that energy for anything else. As a result, your energy will have to be replenished earlier with a new meal.

Are you aware of the order in which you eat?
