Ovarian Cancer
About two-thirds think that cervical cancer more common than ovarian cancer. Only one in ten women knows that it is just the other way around is. Every year 1,100 (mostly older) women get ovarian cancer. The symptoms are often difficult to recognize. Vague complaints such as abdominal pain bloating, nausea and constipation can be signs of ovarian cancer. Using the Contraceptive Pill appears to reduce the risk of ovarian cancer, contrary to what one in five women believe.

Diagnosis
Because there is no method to detect the disease early (such as the Pap smear for cervical cancer), doctors and patients often discover the disease at a late stage.
