Top-5 Bad Snacks

The consequences of these five little refreshments are more extreme than you think.

It's the hidden calories which are in many treats, which make you fatter than you would like. So you better leave this top-5:

1. Cake
Cake belongs to just about all festive occasions. Every cake is not like the other, but in general every cake contains a lot of fat and sugars † So take – if you can't resist – a very small piece, or just not at all.

2. 'Italian feast'
Does your mouth water at a Italian, Mexican or Greek food feast † Unfortunately. The "bad" thing about these feasts is that by definition you eat too much, while you don't even realize how much you eat too much. Lasagna combined with creamy pastas, chicken and lots of cheese are the biggest calorie bombs † But even just a little salad is disastrous, because that is always accompanied by bread and olive oil and wine and… You get it!

3. Soup
Recently it turned out that soup was healthier than previously thought, bursting with vitamins, nutrients and fiber. But why is this 'healthy snack' in the top 5? Many ready-made soups contain way too much salt † The bread, soup balls and cheese that are served with it also add up. Be especially careful with cream soups!

4. Ice Cream
An ice cream, delicious in the summer or for dessert. Who doesn't now? Unfortunately:ice cream contains a lot of fat, and even one scoop provides almost the full amount of saturated fats for one day.

5. Cheesecake
It sounds healthier than chocolate cake, but it isn't. Even a small point can tens of grams of sugar and is packed with calories.
