Don't let the stress win! Look for relaxation

I was also on the worry train this week! And this mainly due to an overdose of stress…
My new booklet was delivered on Friday and I had to make sure that everyone who ordered this received the booklet on time. But I also had to check all payments, look up addresses, create labels to send… You know! So a lot of worrying.

Don't worry in bed

I don't allow worrying in bed. Because it is very important that you get enough sleep. And this especially for our mental and physical well-being. You will quickly experience complaints and problems if you have not slept enough. The rule is if you worry for more than 20 minutes in bed, you have to get up!

Leave your bedroom so it can't be linked to your worry. What do you do in the middle of the night then? Take a look at a magazine, do a word search or maybe you still have an episode of your favorite series on the digibox. Do not exercise or play games! Also, don't do housework because you might see the benefits the next day and might be tempted to get up again the next night to do some ironing or something. It is also not a good idea to work on the computer.

Only when you feel that you are completely relaxed again do you go back to bed.

Don't let the stress win! Look for relaxation

Take a relaxing bath or shower after a stressful day!
Run your bath and add some bubble bath. Light some candles and let some music play in the background. Did you know that scents can have a major impact on your mood? So turn your bathroom into a real spa by choosing candles and scented sticks that smell wonderful. Lavender, orange or lemon balm are ideal for going to bed afterwards.

Make sure your bathroom is heated to about 22 degrees. This way you avoid a too great
temperature difference when you get out of the bath. The bath water is perfect at 38 to 39 degrees.
Don't have a bath? No worries! You can perfectly relax in the shower!
Put a few drops of essential oil on a washcloth together with some neutral bath foam.
If possible, let the water drip onto your body through the washcloth. Or soap yourself completely with the washcloth. The odors will evaporate due to the heat of the water and that way your bathroom will smell wonderful. Just like being in the wellness.

Finish with a body oil, if possible in the same scent. Your skin will become super soft and you will enjoy the wonderful scents for a while.

Bet all the stress is gone? Give it a try…

Kind regards!
