No Need To Buy Shampoo! Use Baking Soda And Apple Cider Vinegar Instead.

I waited over a month before telling you about this experience.

First I wanted to be sure that this method really worked.

After all, "stopping using shampoo" is quite an unusual move...

In fact, it's even downright strange, isn't it?

Especially for a man! Because yes, Adeline and Marine have already tested the experience, but does it also work for guys?

I'm sure some of my friends are scratching their heads wondering what's wrong with me...

Unless they're looking for lice after spending time with me!;-)

But let me reassure you right away, I'm clean. We promise!

After this successful experience, I can tell you that yes, you don't actually need to buy shampoo to have clean and healthy hair!

In fact, we don't need shampoo at all to have a clean scalp that smells good. Explanations:

Why no longer use shampoo?

Shampoos and conditioners are full of chemicals and toxins.

In case you didn't know, the next time you shower, read the label on the shampoo bottle.

It will make you all funny and chill in the back! If you can pronounce just one of the listed ingredients, hats off!

Not only are these ingredients bad for you (due to the products being absorbed by your skin), but they're not good for the environment either...

Yes, all these plastic bottles unfortunately end up in the trash after just one use!

Not to mention the fact that shampoos are so harsh because of the chemicals they contain, that the hair loses its natural oils that protect it.

In addition, all these products end up being very expensive at the end of the year! Especially when you have a family with children...

Some shampoos like those from L'Oréal cost more than €10 a bottle!

Fortunately, here is the easy and inexpensive recipe for homemade shampoo that only contains 2 ingredients:

What you need

- baking soda

- cider vinegar

- water

That's all you need!

How to

1. In a small bowl, make a paste by mixing 1 tablespoon of baking soda and about 100 ml of water.

I use a little more baking soda, almost 2 tablespoons, because my hair is thick. Take the test to see what works best for you.

2. Wet your hair then wring it out.

3. Pour this solution on your head at the crown. Massage the scalp with your fingers. Insist on the crown then the rest of the scalp.

4. Leave on for 2-3 minutes then rinse as you would with a normal shampoo.

Conditioner

1. In this same small bowl (which should be empty by now), dilute a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in 100 ml of water. (Same remark as above on the proportion of apple cider vinegar.)

2. Pour the mixture on the ends of your hair and not on the scalp as this will stimulate the production of your sebaceous glands.

3. Leave on for 30 seconds and shake your hair a little to distribute your treatment evenly.

4. Rinse your hair as usual.

And now, with this homemade shampoo, I no longer buy shampoo and my hair is soft, clean and healthy :-)

Easy, fast and economical, right?

As you can see in the photo, this homemade shampoo recipe also works for men.

And you don't even have to go through the "transition phase" described by Adeline and Marine!

Know that my hair is dry, thick and textured. It's up to you to test to see if it also works on oily, fine and straight hair.

Why does it work?

While researching the internet, I learned that "baking soda gently removes chemical buildup from hair".

As for apple cider vinegar, "it detangles the hair, smoothes the scales of the hair and balances their pH".

Impressive, isn't it?

Additional tips

If you want to give it a try, here are some useful tips I discovered along the way:

- You can buy plastic bottles, use old shampoo bottles, or even use glass jars to store your homemade shampoo. It's easier.

- I started using unfiltered apple cider vinegar. But since then, I've switched to filtered vinegar, which is much cheaper and just as effective.

- You can buy a big jar of baking soda. Just look down the shelves in supermarkets to find it or buy it on the internet here.

- If you want to add a little fragrance, use essential oils, for example peppermint or lavender. Just a drop or two is enough. But don't worry the smell of vinegar disappears after a few minutes.
