It acts as a natural tranquilizer that soothes the body, reducing stress levels and nervous tension.

How to

1. Above all, touch your palate with the tip of your tongue, just behind the upper incisors. Maintain this position throughout the exercise.

2. Forcefully exhale all the air from your lungs through your mouth, making noise.

3. Close your mouth and inhale quietly through your nose for a count to four in your head.

4. Hold your breath for a count to 7.

5. Empty all the air from your lungs through your mouth for a count to 8 , in one big exhalation.

6. Repeat this "4-7-8" breathing cycle three times, for a total of four inhales/exhales.

Important: each inhale should be noiseless through the nose. Conversely, each exhalation should be done loudly and through the mouth.
