The Natural Cream Blush Recipe Finally Revealed.

I have been experimenting with homemade recipes for several years to make my own makeup.

I already make my BB cream which I really like and which works very well.

The advantage of a cream blush over a powder blush is that it lasts much longer.

It is also more versatile which allows you to do more things with it.

In small touches, I also use it to give a darker shade to my natural complexion...

It's perfect if I want to make the summer last longer;-)

Without further ado, here is the homemade recipe for a natural cream blush. Watch:

2 methods to make your cream blush

Method 1: for a simplified version, use a natural moisturizer already made to make the base and add color pigments according to your needs.

Method 2: making your own moisturizer obviously takes a little longer and requires 5 additional ingredients. But it allows for greater customization since you make the base lotion yourself.

Cream blush ingredients

If you prefer method 1 (simple), I recommend this cream:

- organic natural moisturizing cream with aloe vera

For method 2 (all homemade), you will need these ingredients:

- 1 teaspoon of shea butter.

- 1 teaspoon of emulsifier based on vegetable oil.

- 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel.

Instead of these first 3 ingredients, you can also use 1 tablespoon of natural aloe vera moisturizing cream.

- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder.

- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of mica powder of your choice.

Instead of these last 2 ingredients, you can also use 1 to 2 teaspoons of mineral powder in the color of your choice.

How to make your cream blush

For the simple version: just mix your organic mineral powder (or mica powder and cocoa powder) and aloe vera lotion to achieve your desired color and consistency.

For the homemade version:

1. Put the shea butter and vegetable oil emulsifier in a saucepan.

2. Gently heat in a bain-marie until they have completely melted.

3. Add the aloe vera gel and whisk until fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.

4. Turn off the fire.

5. Slowly start adding the colors. In small pinches, add the mica and cocoa powder until you get the desired color.

6. Dip the tip of a teaspoon into the mixture and wait a few seconds for it to cool.

7. Test the color on your cheek to make sure you got the right shade for your skin tone.

8. Pour the mixture into a container and let cool.

There you go, your homemade cream blush is already ready :-)

Not that complicated, is it?

And what's more, it's much more natural than buying a store-bought cream blush.

At least you know what ingredients make up your blush!

Anyway for me, since I use this homemade cream blush, my skin appreciates it greatly.

Additional advice

- the addition of colors (mica and cocoa powders) in a ready-made lotion will give a very smooth and matte blush. Experiment with the colors until you get the desired shade. It will look much darker than it will on skin.

- using homemade lotion as a base allows for more customization options, but is also more difficult to do. With a homemade lotion, the more vegetable wax you put on, the thicker your blush will be. Your bronzing blush will also last longer. Using more aloe vera gel will result in a smoother, more subtle blend.

- by adding a mica powder in red tones, you will obtain a more rosy shade like that of a blush. If you add more cocoa powder or bronze-colored mica powder, you will create a darker blush for a bronze complexion.
